Colonial-style mansion in Palma

Luxurious mansion with history and refurbished to the high end standards near the neighborhood of Son Vida in Palma city.

This large villa is on the outskirts of Palma at less than 10 minutes driving to the center of the city, and close to 2 golf courses – Son Quint and Son Vida-. The villa was built on the hillside with incredible views over the capital and the bay of Palma so you will enjoy panoramic views over the South region of the island. The villa was built in 1922 and was designed and influenced by Cuban Art Deco with a central tower and a stately balcony, as the first owner was a Spanish general stationed in Cuba.

Manicured gardens create a summery atmosphere and are surrounding a splendid black-tailed pool with music underwater. In addition, behind a fresh porch covered by olive trees there is a nice outdoor kitchen next to a dining table for up to 20 guests and a barbecue. A perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and a nice book while family or friends enjoy the pool.

The interior of the villa preserves the classic tiling floors and some objects and furniture from the time of the first owner, although new owners, both architects, have perfectly combined them with modern and designer items. The property is accessed through a hall presided over by a stately staircase. In the hall floor we find the first ensuite bedroom perfect for the service or for people with reduced mobility.

Going upstairs there are the living area, a perfectly equipped kitchen, large indoor dinning area, and all of them with access to a large terrace through tall windows with typical “persianas”. From that long terrace you will enjoy views of the entire city and the bay of Palma.

The villa has eight ensuite bedrooms for up to 16 guests, bedroom suites are spacious, elegant, and cozy – perfect for afternoon siestas and relaxing nights-. All beds can also be converted into single beds. Some of the bedrooms have classical bathtubs. The stately master suite has a private tower with a solarium where you can enjoy the Tramuntana range mountain and the bay of Palma. The house is finished off with a stunning modern kitchen which features state-of-the-art equipment and is beautifully designed to continue the theme of the villa.

The property has an outdoor private parking with enough space for 3-4 cars. We recommend renting a medium-sized car because the access is through a not very wide alley.
