Tucked away within an extensive estate, you enjoy total privacy and seclusion, yet you’re just a 10-minute walk from the stunning white sand bay and glittering turquoise waters of Cala Macarella. Roam in an estate that extends across 210 hectares, or stroll to one of Menorca’s best beaches. Cala Macarella’s horseshoe-shaped bay, fringed with pine-cloaked cliffs calls for long, lazy days, while the buzzier Cala Galdana is also nearby. Located 25 minutes from Cuitadella, Menorca’s attractive second city, Santa Ana nestles harmoniously within the island’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Peace-seekers will delight in every minute spent here.

Comprising six large double en suite bedrooms, there’s plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing before coming together to cook convivial meals in the state-of-the-art kitchen. Spread out in comfort in the communal areas that include a TV room, library, dining room, gym and lounge. Outdoors you’ll find plenty more space, pretty gardens and majestic pine forests rising all around. Chase the sun or the shade in the outdoor chill out area, then light the fire pit and cook a fresh catch in the outdoor kitchen as your evening melts into night.

In the main house, Casa del Payes, a master suite at 30sqm has lovely countryside views and 20sqm terrace from which to enjoy them, and there’s an even larger suite of almost 40sqm located in a building of its own, the Granero, complete with private garden. Moments away in a creatively converted boyeras, or traditional barn that is close to the expansive pool area, are a further four stylish bedrooms – all 30sqm or more.

The Casa del Payes features three generous living rooms and a library to relax in. Guests can chat and eat together in the open kitchen and a beautiful dining room. Outside there are shady spaces to relax or eat, while the pool area features an outdoor kitchen, a covered dining area and wide terrace with sun loungers that are as comfortable as they are elegant.

Santa Ana sits within a wonderfully private 210 hectare estate, which translates to utter tranquillity. Near the accommodation are gardens with fragrant Mediterranean flowers and herbs, while much of the land is given over to woodland and nature. Its location within walking distance of Cala Macarella and Cala Macarelleta, considered two of Menorca’s best beaches, means that in the early morning or later in the day guests can have their turquoise waters and white sands almost to themselves.
